Project Description

General Podiatry Service

General podiatry service

Podiatric Nail and Skin treatments are tailored around each patient's needs. This service includes but not limited to:

  • Nail care
  • Thick nails treatment
  • Fungal nails treatment
  • Ingrown nails treatment
  • Sharps debridement of Callus
  • Wart treatment
  • Sharps debridement of fissuring around heels
  • Corn removal
  • Treating dryness/fissuring of feet

This treatment is important, especially for people with diabetes. Since patients with diabetes have reduced healing potential and therefore are at a higher risk of infection. Therefore, by allowing the podiatrist to conduct this treatment, you are sure the correct procedure is undertaken.

This service will also aid people with back problems that find it difficult to treat their own nails and skin. Routine 6, 8 or 10 week appointments, depending on each patient, are advised for ongoing pain relief and comfort.
