This treatment is important, especially for people with diabetes. Since patients with diabetes have reduced healing potential and therefore are at a higher risk of infection. Therefore, by allowing the podiatrist to conduct this treatment, you are sure the correct procedure is undertaken.
This service will also aid people with back problems that find it difficult to treat their own nails and skin. Routine 6, 8 or 10 week appointments, depending on each patient, are advised for ongoing pain relief and comfort.
General Podiatric treatment treats and includes:
- Ingrown Nails
- Reduction of nails
- Callus & Corns
- Tinea
- Warts (debridement)
